This was such a fun experience that I am so glad I tagged along for! It began with Cammy picking out her terrarium container from all the cool and unique glass containers. Once she had that picked out she went and found the plants she wanted to put in it. She could choose from tropical plants or succulents....she chose tropical. After she had her plants she then got to start putting in the layers of the terrarium. First sand, then rocks, then the soil and then some moss to cover the soil on the edges. Once all of the layers were placed she got to plant her 3 little tropical plants and her terrarium was complete!!
Picking out the plants that fit in her glass container
Filling it up with all the different layers
Adding soil
Planting the plants
And it's complete!
The finished terrarium
So proud of her beachy inspired terrarium
Cammy walked away from this experience saying it was one of the best presents she had gotten and loved getting to do it. I love when our kids discover a new joy with something they typically wouldn't have ever tried on their own! Thanks Grams for the creative gift that made one little 8 year old super happy!!!
Now the challenge is to keep these plants alive!
