Easter Weekend 2018

Easter weekend was jam packed full of Easter fun beginning with the annual community egg hunt at Bob's Corn on Saturday, March 31st. We got a day of sunshine, so that made for a fun day! My parents and our friends The Mitchells, The Sutherlins and The Smiths all joined in on the fun this year since we decided this would be our "Friends Easter" celebration instead of on actual Easter like we usually do.

The kids enjoyed the cow train, face paint and the egg hunt of course. Everyone managed to find a bunch of eggs, but no golden egg for Hailey this year (if you remember, she somehow managed to find the special golden egg that won her a big basket of goodies TWO years in a row). The egg hunt was run a little different this year, so it was a bit more of a cluster than previous years, but only the adults really seemed to care (hence the major lack of egg hunt pics this year because we had to do much more helping than watching). After everyone was done at the egg hunt we headed to lunch at Red Robin for our "Friends Easter" celebration.

Hailey wanted Zach to ride on her lap...haha!

Egg hunt time, but she refused to really pick up any eggs without our help

The following day, Sunday, April 1st was Easter. Of course it was a wet day that kept us from being able to do an easter egg hunt outside this year, but we made it work inside. The girls were so excited to dive into their Easter baskets first thing when they woke up. The Easter Bunny brought some pretty fun things!!  Just my parents came over for Easter this year and we went to church together in the morning and had a small ham dinner in the late afternoon. Somehow I didn't take a single picture of the whole group for dinner.

Baskets are filled and eggs are stuffed full of goodies!

And in case you were wondering...yes we did visit the Easter Bunny again this year about a week before Easter. I am thinking I should end the tradition right here because we got all smiles from the 3 girls (but only thanks to a candy bribe after some minor tears were shed by our 4 year old prior to sitting with the bunny).
